Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.

“…that’s what Paul is saying: ‘Do your job.’ He said we need to walk worthy of the vocation of which you were called. In other words, if you are called to be a preacher, spend some time working at it and study and learn the word and apply yourself and, with every opportunity you get, apply yourself to do the will of the Lord. And to the missionaries: whatever your task is – apply yourself and prepare yourself. To the church mothers: apply yourself, prepare yourself. To the deacons: apply yourself, prepare yourself. Everybody had a job to do and, if somebody is not doing their job, then the church is going to suffer.”
