Revival: One Touch From God

Quote from Adm. Asst. Marvin Sanders, Pastor of Shiloh Temple COGIC on January 3, 2013 – Night #2 of our revival.

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. (Acts 3:6-8)

“God will work a miracle upon request. Look at what happened when he stretched out his hand and began to lift him up. No doubt it started as a hard pull but [then] …his muscles began to fill strength. And this man felt something he’d never felt in his life. He felt his legs begin to respond and he felt his legs begin to stand as he was being pulled. And as he was being pulled, he realized, “hey, I’m standing up.” He stood up and began to leap…He realized something wonderful had happened. Something great had happened… That’s what we need sometimes in our lives: sometimes we need a miracle. Sometimes we need something wonderful. Sometimes we need something great that will turn our lives around and alter our course. It only takes one great thing to altar our whole course of life and give us a new outlook. One great experience with God will re-focus us for the duration of our lives. One miracle from God can breed success in our lives for the rest of our lives. This man stood up that one time and was able to walk until he died… Sometimes we need that one touch from God that will turn us around from now on…”
