“Then He ordered the crowds to recline on the grass; and He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and blessed and broke the loaves and handed the pieces to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve [small hand] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.”
We won’t always have a clear and sound solution to life’s obstacles. How awesome it is, then, that we serve the God of Impossibilities! Common sense limits faith. Logic limits faith. “Knowledge puffeth up” (1 Corinthians 8:1) and causes us to think more highly of ourselves than we should. It’s been said, “If you can accomplish your vision on your own, your vision is too small.” We need to step beyond logic and common sense and dream bigger, considering what may be labeled as “impossible.” We may be competent and able to do much for ourselves, but much more can be accomplished with prayer and faith in our Heavenly Father.
When we don’t have what we need to accomplish our vision and dreams, we are best positioned to be blessed by God. When we pray, let us pray with faith and hopeful expectation that God will answer us. Yet, do not simply pray and do nothing, but pray and move! Step out on your faith, expecting God to meet you along the way. Use what you have and let God take care of the rest.
