Revival: Say the Word

Speaker: Elder J. Evans
Scriptural Basis: Romans 10:1-11

We must be prepared to do God’s work. In doing His work, let us not be halfhearted or lazy, but diligent: diligent to do His will, diligent to live for Him, and watchful for His imminent return. Let us hold on to the Word of God within our hearts as we seek to go higher in Christ. The Word is all we need to endurre and persevere. Therefore, when we are in need of peace, joy, and strength, let us a speak a word into our own lives. Let us speak the Word of God.

Revival: Stay the Course

From January 4, 2012
Speaker: Adm. Asst. Marvin Sanders, Pastor
Scriptural Reference: Acts 4:24-31

In our Christian walk, we will be required to make a stand for Christ. Doing so, we can expect to receive opposition that will cause us pain and suffering. Yet, we must know that God is able to bring us out. Sometimes, it seems that the situation gets worse before it gets better, but know God is at work. The Enemy would like to hinder our praise and silence our testimony, but don’t let him do it! We need to make up our minds to go with Jesus all the way, to never turn back no matter what adversities we encounter. When we are going through hard times and we find ourselves becoming tired and weak, let us find our way to the house of the Lord where we can find the power of God. We must not get discouraged. Let us turn to God in prayer so that He can strength and refresh us.

Revival: One Touch From God

Quote from Adm. Asst. Marvin Sanders, Pastor of Shiloh Temple COGIC on January 3, 2013 – Night #2 of our revival.

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. (Acts 3:6-8)

“God will work a miracle upon request. Look at what happened when he stretched out his hand and began to lift him up. No doubt it started as a hard pull but [then] …his muscles began to fill strength. And this man felt something he’d never felt in his life. He felt his legs begin to respond and he felt his legs begin to stand as he was being pulled. And as he was being pulled, he realized, “hey, I’m standing up.” He stood up and began to leap…He realized something wonderful had happened. Something great had happened… That’s what we need sometimes in our lives: sometimes we need a miracle. Sometimes we need something wonderful. Sometimes we need something great that will turn our lives around and alter our course. It only takes one great thing to altar our whole course of life and give us a new outlook. One great experience with God will re-focus us for the duration of our lives. One miracle from God can breed success in our lives for the rest of our lives. This man stood up that one time and was able to walk until he died… Sometimes we need that one touch from God that will turn us around from now on…”
